About Reclaimed Lives

From a single story to a movement of hope.

Reclaimed Lives was born from a deeply personal journey of healing — a story that moved from addiction, mental health struggles, and hopelessness to restoration, purpose, and freedom. What began as one person's transformation has grown into a movement dedicated to helping others reclaim their own lives.

We exist to bring hope to those who feel lost and unseen — to show that recovery is possible and that no story is beyond redemption. Through open conversations, education, and community support, we work to break the silence and stigma surrounding mental health and addiction.

  • Youth-LedDriven by passionate young leaders
  • Community-RootedActive on campuses & in communities
  • UN-RecognizedAcknowledged by UNODC and UNAIDS
  • Stigma-FreeSafe spaces for honest conversations

What Drives Us

Our vision, mission & the values that drive change.

At Reclaimed Lives, we believe every life can be rebuilt with dignity and purpose. We're transforming pain into purpose — one reclaimed life at a time.

Our Mission

To help young people reclaim their lives through awareness, empowerment, and action. We lead mental health and addiction awareness campaigns, create safe spaces for honest conversations, and build partnerships that connect individuals to real help and lasting support.

Our Vision

To see an Africa where every young person has access to compassionate mental health care, restored dignity, and a renewed sense of purpose. A continent where healing is normalized, hope is accessible, and no one is defined by their struggles — but by their capacity to rise above them.

Our Values

Guided by compassion, authenticity, hope, restoration, community, and integrity. We create safe spaces where people feel seen and understood — fostering connection, accountability, and lasting transformation.

Founder's Note

Your life can be reclaimed. You are not alone.

Reclaimed Lives was born from my own story — a journey through brokenness, addiction, and deep mental struggle that eventually led to healing, purpose, and faith. For a long time, I lived in silence, trapped in shame and fear of being judged.

But when I finally began to speak my truth — first in rehab, and later at university — something remarkable happened: people listened. And more importantly, they related. I realized so many young people were silently fighting the same battles, hiding their pain behind success, laughter, and perfection.

My story became a bridge — not because it was extraordinary, but because it was honest. That honesty sparked conversations, inspired others to seek help, and gave birth to what is now Reclaimed Lives.

Today, this stands as a living testimony that recovery is possible and that no story is beyond redemption. Healing doesn't erase our past — it redefines it.
