Reclaimed Lives ("we", "us", "our") is a youth-driven movement based in Lusaka, Zambia. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and how we handle it. We are committed to protecting your privacy and only collecting what we need to serve you.

Information we collect

• Contact enquiries: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), area of interest, and message.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address.
• Donations: if you pledge a donation, we record the amount, your name, phone number, chosen mobile-money provider, and any note you add. Your actual payment is completed directly through your mobile-money provider (Airtel Money or MTN MoMo) — we never see or store your PIN or account credentials.
• Quiz participation: if you play a quiz, we store the name you enter and your score on the leaderboard.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiries and requests.
• To send you newsletters and updates you have subscribed to.
• To acknowledge and follow up on donations.
• To display quiz leaderboards and improve our programs.

How your data is stored

Information submitted through this site is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). Access is restricted to authorised Reclaimed Lives administrators. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Third-party services

Our site loads a small number of third-party resources: Google Fonts (typography), Firebase (data storage and admin sign-in), and an embedded OpenStreetMap map. These providers may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) as part of delivering their service.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, and you may ask us to correct or delete your personal information. To make any request, contact us using the details below.

Children

Some of our outreach involves young people. Where we work with minors, we do so through schools and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children online without appropriate consent.
